Tony Stewart was able to recover after one lasts season, taking the UAW-GM Quality 500 in the Motor Lowe's Speedway.
The champion secured to his second triumph of the year, in one season saw that it leave in five occasions. Stewart now is seventh in the championship to 636 points of Kenseth.
Stewart counted on the most competitive car of the day, although on the end it had to battle with Ryan Newman finally to adjudge the triumph.
Newman, author of pole the day Saturday and until the moment the most winning pilot with eight triumphs, went first in entering to pits for the last wave of resupply, due to a vibration in its Dodge. The remaining pilots paused several returns later.

Jimmie Johnson, who in the last gained two events disputed in this track, arrived third party with its Chevrolet, followed of Bill Elliott and Jeff Gordon.
The leader of the points of the Winston Cup, Matt Kenseth, finished to the race eighth recovering of his last two disastrous presentations. Kenseth, that lost 177 points in last the two weeks, now surpasses Kevin Harvick by 267 points, when they reduce five races to dispute itself.
The fight by the title was overheated when the Ford of Kenseth and the Chevrolet de Harvick were surprised when first it tried to exceed it. Both came running side to side when Kenseth surprised Harvick going ahead him. Harvick did not glimpse the car of the leader of the match and both were close.

With five races ahead and after the victory of Stewart, the Chevrolet mark has devoted champion of constructors. This nº 27 of Chevrolet in its file is the title, and nº 23 of the modern era. The nearest rival of Chevy in amount of championships is Ford, with six in his file.
