The Ferrari equipment has demonstrated to its impressive forcefulness when obtaining overwhelming one-two again during the Great Prize of San Marino. The house of Maranello seems to have retaken the superiority that it owned during the first date in Australia, difference that fell in Malaysia with the triumph of the Williams de Ralf Schumacher, but that could be retaken in Brazil with another victory of Schumacher, although the difference with the Williams no longer was so much.
“There are many proud reasons to be today. We fail the past year here and now we have given back something to them to the tifosis. It has been a Great special Prize for me and I am contented by how it has gone. It has been good that Rory Byrne was in podio. Of course, this result is not all merit his, since it is an equipment effort, but he is the main designer. We did not hope to be so dominant and hoped that the race was more complicated. Bridgestone has produced a tire that is more consistent and, although the victory has been altogether, great part of the merit is his”, said Michael.
In San Marino Schumacher it did not leave nor the rest to his rivals. It dominated the training, it gained the classification and it gained the race. The seventh position of Villeneuve does not say much but he is rescatable. The Canadian finished the animated race more and with hopes of which the single-seater continues progressing. His Panis companion was not so lucky retiring to 18 returns of the end.
Formula 1 will return to appear within two weeks for the Great Prize of Spain, where Williams hopes to shorten the enormous distance that Ferrari obtained during this Great Prize.
