Escudería Jordan de Fórmula 1, bought east winter by Midland, a society of investments of Russian capital, presented/displayed east Friday its new vehicle in Moscow, in the Red Place, to one week of the official opening of the season with the Great Prize of Australia.
“We want to give to our equipment a small Russian touch and, for this reason, it is very important to make this presentation here”, declared the Chief of a main directorate of escudería Irish, Colin Kolles, bought by the Russian millionaire Alexander Shnaider.
“Our new proprietor has his roots in Russia and we are convinced that the event can serve here as first fruit for the organization of a Great Prize of Formula 1 in Moscow”, below cero added Kolles in an atmosphere of 10 ten degrees.
The Commercial Head of Formula 1, Bernie Ecclestone, also was present in this presentation. It did not attend Russian President Vladimir Putin, although he was invited, but its place was occupied by the Mayor of Moscow, Yuri Luzhkov.
Tiago Monteiro: I am very contented to visit Moscow. It is the first time that I arrive at this country and we were very well received by the fans. This improvement my motivation to face the Great Prize of Australia.
Narain Karthikeyan: As much Russia as country it would like much to have a Great Prize. Many similarities between both countries exist, although evidently the climate does not look like in anything. Most important of everything it is to be able to know more Formula 1. It is a very important business for the sponsors. I hope that the Russians adopt to Jordan so that they encourage to us. “
Including the kilometrage that was accumulated in the session of shakedown of the new single-seater, each one of the two pilots of Jordan, the Indian Narain Karthikeyan and the Portuguese Tiago Monteiro, they have completed a good amount of kilometers of tests to the controls of the Jordan Toyota EJ15.
Trevor Carlin, Sport Director of Jordan Grand Prix: “The car has worked without having problem some. There are accumulated many kilometers of tests with Tiago and finalizing them with Narain. Friday in the morning also the signing knew itself Robert Doornbos like third pilot of Jordan Grand Prix and pilot of reserve for the next season of F1.

I am enchanted of being able to enjoy the opportunity to continue proving, learning and developing me like pilot and contributing with my work to the equipment. The past year was fantastic to participate in three races with Jordan. Those free training were the unique moment that I piloted a Formula 1. “
