Honda Racing F1 Team presented/displayed this morning in Spain to the single-seater with which it will try to fight by the title of 2006 in Formula 1, along with the new titular pilot training constituted by Jenson Button and Rubens Barrichello. Honda marks therefore an important landmark, since it is the first single-seater of Formula 1 that presents/displays a manufacturing equipment Honda from 1968. Like signal of the commitment of Honda before the new challenge and its great capacity of manufacture, escudería did not present/display one, but two single-seaters of identical competition RA106, with the intention of which Rubens and Jenson could initiate the tests exactly simultaneously. The new single-seaters and their motors RA806E are product of a single unified equipment that combines the resources of the Operations center of Honda Racing F1 Team in Brackley, England, the plant of motors Honda Racing Development de Bracknell, also in England, and the search and development center Honda R&D, located in Tochigi, Japan. The RA106 appeared with their new ornamental base in target Honda Racing, a color associated to the identity of Honda in the sports of the motor from the initial participation of the company in F1 in 1964. The rest of the body already shows the well-known colors of the mark Lucky Strike, that will continue sponsoring escudería in season 2006. Throughout 2005 we established the bases that will allow us to reach our goals in 2006 and in the following years. We count with two of the best pilots of the world, have demonstrated our capacity to develop a single-seater throughout the season with which Jenson managed to score in each one of the ten last races, and have included/understood better the strongpoints of our car of 2004 as well as the deficiencies of the one of 2005. Finally, and most important, it is than we have the condition of manufacturing equipment, with access to the resources of Honda R&D. I feel like especially proud of which we have been able to present/display two new single-seaters today, one for Jenson and another one for Rubens, thus demonstrating our great capacity of production and the professionalism and determination of our people. With the incorporation of our new wind tunnel throughout this year, already we can to assume all the challenges with confidence . In that period the equipment has developed a great level of technical capability that now can be appreciated in the design, the quality of production and the high performance in the grill. Our intention is now to integrate and to combine our concepts of design and our skill to obtain a single-seater able to fight by race victories. “ One of our keys has been the aerodynamics, with considerations of double design reaches, to solve the aerodynamic problem that we suffered in 2005 and to improve the effectiveness to satisfy the requirements that impose the new V8 motor, smaller, and its implications in the design of the chassis. We are satisfied with the advances realized in the wind tunnel throughout the winter and our data demonstrate that we have given a great step forward. In the mechanical aspect, always in agreement with the evolution rate, we have perfected different concepts, between which third generation of box of speeds appears ours of composed of carbon. “ Honda has produced a new motor that will face the challenge successfully that has supposed the change in Formula 1 of the V10 motor to the V8. Single-seater Nº 11, Rubens Barrichello: This is a very special day for my, since it is the first presentation that I realize with new escudería for six years. Honda owns a magnificent trajectory in the sports of the motor and is wonderful to get up itself to her. I feel enormous desires to put me to the steering wheel of the new bolide and by the conversations that I have maintained with our equipment, we are right many to wait for the next season with great expectations. I am sure that today that will be confirmed, when proves the single-seater for the first time. Single-seater Nº 12, Jenson Button: I feel extraordinarily proud and excited to belong to escudería Honda Racing F1 Team and 2006 we will be a very important year for all. In the winter tests we have obtained many advances with the Concept single-seater and I have verified personally the gigantic effort realized in Brackley and Tochigi in the last months. I am sure that all that determination will be compensated east year. I have put my part when working still more intensely in my physical form with the purpose of to feel perfectly preparation to me for the next season. I wait for with impatience the first race in Bahrein . Third pilot, Anthony Davidson: Tengo many desires to begin to perform the functions that correspond to me, since I am sure that it will be a great year for the equipment. It will be wonderful to return to roll Fridays of Great Prize and I know that will contribute to a great extent to the development that is realized throughout the year .
